Hello, I am technically new, though I have been lurking for a while. I finally decided to join and post today. My Kiwi is due at any moment! Her first and last ties were 7 days apart, so she could be anywhere from 58 - 65 days right now. I have been listening to the puppy's heartbeat with my stethoscope, and it is such a great thing to hear. Like a little horse galloping at top speed. I am a little disappointed about the singleton because I am worried about the single pup being able to fit through, so wish us luck. Her x-ray was inconclusive; the vet said the puppy may or may not fit through. Gee thanks Doc, I could have made that guess without an x-ray ha ha. I am wondering whether or not to schedule a c section this week because with my luck she will go into labor in the dead of night, when a c section will cost me over a grand if it is needed. Thoughts?

Right now I am just anxiously watching for signs of labor. She has been licking herself excessively but that doesn't mean anything because she's been doing that for about 2 weeks now. She is not digging or nesting so I assume it won't be tonight. The waiting game is what kills me! The funny thing is how un-pregnant she looks. She still looks like her usual svelte self.
