 Tornado devastation!
My sisters (symysmom) great nephew, Jason, 9 yrs. old, was critically injured. He has worsened overnight. They put in a shunt last night to try and relieve some of the swelling to his brain. He has collapsed lungs, several skull fractures, broken hip and femur, and toes that will have to be pinned. They have him in a medically induced coma. They have taken him in for surgery this morning to help relieve some of the pressure to his chest and brain. His younger siblings are nearly as bad. The 1 1/2 yr. old sister is in a body cast. And the 3 yr. old is probably going to have to have the same surgery to help relieve some of the pressure.
These kids Mother was killed in the tornado. The 2 younger kids daddy was on his way home from work and he is with them at the hospital. Jason's daddy, my sisters nephew, is by his side.
I am heading to the hospital this morning to take snacks and drinks for them so maybe I can update later this afternoon. |
