Sending prayers for a successful surgery.

I used to work for a vet surgeon and he did this operation a lot. Is your dog unaltered by chance? Its most common in unaltered older males. So the patient gets castrated before the hernia is repaired. Most patients did very well but some did have problems defecating afterward depending on how long the problem has been going on i think, and the diet/meds he is taking.
