I just saw this post and hopefully you will get more responses, but I am wondering about a UTI (urinary tract infection). This happens frequently with male cats. Does he pee regularly ever now? Or is it always just small amounts? Is he peeing in unusual spots etc?
If this continues I would definitely get that checked out by the vet. Also watch to see if he tries to pee but doesn't do anything and how frequently that happens. Is he getting plenty of fluids. Note those things before you talk to the vet so he has something to work with.
