so, i have been working with typsy training her to sit, wait, come, you know, the basics....
i allow her on the couch, but she needs to have good manners.

so i only want her to come up when she is invited. i do that when she sits in front of me and "asks". then i pat the couch and say "come up!" and she immediately jumps up and i praise her. then she can curl up as she pleases.
at first, she was good with being invited, but she has clearly gotten more comfortable here (which is a good thing) and has started to jump up on the couch without asking. every time she does this, i say "down" and i make her get off the couch immediately. if i say "down", she buries herself in the pillow, a cover, whatever, but she never jumps down solely by my voice command. i have to physically make her get down.
i don't get the feeling she doesn't understand, i get the feeling she's just doing what she wants to do. how can i get her to stop this behavior?
btw, she's now sitting in front of the couch with her back turned to me.
