Kimbo used to "make up his bed" like that all the time when he was a baby. Now he only does it when he's very tired. He sort of whines like a tired baby who's fighting his sleep as he frantically digs around and turns his little circles. Really hilarious to watch.

Tell your hubby to fold up a small blanket or throw and put it in his lap. I keep a blankie handy to put on my lap if I'm wearing shorts. I want to protect my skin from scratches, but at the same time, I want my sleepy baby to have a comfortable place to sleep.
