I have had Chase for almost a year, and just recently sent his papers in. He is already neutered, and too big for showing, but for me it was wanting that piece of paper. I also got him enrolled in the companion recovery. It's also nice to know that he could do some of the companion events if I decide to train him for that. He is my first AKC dog, so I really wanted the benefits of that. The only reason it took me so long to send the papers in, I was looking for that perfect AKC name. I wanted something fun that reflected his personality
