I have seen this on my daughters Bischon. She pulls so hard on the concrete drive way that her nails were worn down and her pads started bleeding around the edges. My daughter cleaned them put bacitracin ointment on them and wrapped her legs in what looked like leg warmers for a day or two to keep them clean and protected.
