Well it started with a small tennis ball, I figured out she likes something in her mouth when she walks but the ball got lost so now its a pine cone. We stil have problems when spots something more interesting like a piece of paper but usually its her pine cone. If she starts chewing it I take it away from her and carry it (I would estimate we had to do this twice in maybe 3 months).
The leave it command took some time for her to learn and while I was training her on that nothing was allowed in her mouth in or out of the house unless I gave it to her.
