The problem with the Internet is that there are so many people breeding yorkies and have sites with wrong information on there that some people belive to be truth. Just because something is in print does not make it true. Reason one must do their research. There is no such thing, with yorkies, as standard size, teacup size, etc... With yorkies... it is that per standard they should not exceed 7 pounds. Sounds like you will just have some small yorkies, that is all. You could, if brought up again by that person, to share with her the YTCA.org web site for correct informaiton.  |

While there is a bit of word difference between what is posted on the YTCA vs the AKC. They are one in the same. The YTCA is using verbage from the Illustrated Standard (without the illustrations).....it just explains it a bit more in detail. In the US there is only one standard and AKC is the keeper and the YTCA is the owner.
As a YTCA member, there is daily discussion on the standard.
