I suggest The Hunger Games. (2nd book in the series is Catching Fire and the 3rd and final book comes out this summer.) Those books are AWESOME. A bunch of YT members recently read them and loved them.

I also read The Uglies series by Scott Westerfield that another YTer suggested and thought they were great too.

I also read Timeline by Michael Crieghton recently and really liked it. His stuff is kind of hit and miss with me, but I really enjoyed that one.
