Have you thought about trying honest kitchen it is a dehydrated raw food that you add water to. go to their website and send them an email they are very helpful. You could also try a kibble that has grain in it for the fiber. Wellness is a good dog food. they have a small breed formula.
I would be very careful switching his food up though. Do lots of research.
