Back in the day my parents wanted a husky mix and had their name on the list at the pound...so one day they call stating they have a girl available! We lived out in the country so we said we could get there in a half an hour. We rushed around and ran up there only to discover they were giving the dog to someone else because they were there first even THOUGH we were on our way!! So we also waited around to see what happened and of course they took her and we went home w/no dog. We later found out the dog got out (they lived in town) and got ran over just a couple of weeks later. So sad!! |
so sad. This is what can happen when they do not call references. Esp if the dog has MULTIPLE apps, why would you not call at least one ref?
