I good quality female Maltese will probably cost around $2,000.
You can find poorly bred Maltese for $1,000 or less, but what you will spend on vet bills will make $2,000 sound like a bargain.
Not to mention she will get a Maltese who looks and acts like a Maltese is supposed to if she gets a puppy from a responsible breeder.
