I don't think he is injured in anyway. (I could be wrong)
He doesn't do this all the time, it is mostly at night after he has wound down and wants to rest or sleep. He will be on my chest and I will go to touch him and I startle him and he does it, I start to talk nice and softly to him and then he is fine. He really seems to be saying, I am fine where I am, can you just leave me alone! He does it to Troy when Troy is being a 'bugger' himself and is holding TJ back from coming to be by me. TJ seems to get really frustrated that Troy won't let him pass to come sit by me so TJ does the growl/snap thing, or we will be lying in bed and TJ likes to sit on Troy head and lick his hair, over and over and over. Well, when Troy has had enough of the licking and he goes to move TJ he does it. Other than those times he doesn't do it. So, I am leaning towards it being an aggressive behavioral thing. I am going to try and not startle him and make him alert to when I am going to move him when he is sleeping and I told Troy he has to stop antaganizing (sp) TJ so that he doesn't promote that growl from him.
Thanks for the advice, I am going to do a search and see what else I can come up with.
