Sad Hello from a New Member

Hi,

I am Faith-Hope and I'm new here. I have a little Yorkie called Toby, he weighs 4lb and is 9 years old.

Today is Sat. 8th May 2010 and on Tuesday morning Toby is booked in to have an operation to try and fix his perineal hernia. This will be complicated and in fact he is having two ops under the same anesthetic to try and sort it out. Toby has a partially collapsed trachea so this will increase the danger.

I am dreading the whole thing but at the moment Toby can't poo without me putting his hernia 'in' and this has been going on since last November, and is getting harder and harder for me to do, and very uncomfortable and sometimes painful for him.

Has anyone's Yorkie had a hernia op? I'd be glad to have any info.

I just hope my little baby boy pulls through,

Best wishes,

Faith-Hope (Surrey, England)
