I think the "horror" stories get a lot more press. That being said, make sure you see the puppy you are buying in its home environment. You can see the parents that way and meet the breeder. Lexy's breeder is so nice and she cried when I took Lexy! She also interviewd me as to the safety of my household, etc. I think this is a good sign.

If you can't go see a puppy in person, get one from the references on this site. People here will tell you if a breeder is selling good puppies.

Lexy's 2 adorable sisters are still for sale I think. Cost is $1200.00/ I'd rather pay more in the beginning than have to have surgeries and heartaches later on.
