My Madison was 6 mos when we got her. She always been quiet compared to my vocal maltese lexie. We have been involved with a yorkie play group. 7 yorkies that meet daily and we've been together for 2 years and I'd have to say they all have the same personality they had 2 years ago.
In my opinion, their environment, the training they get and their routine all play into how they will be when they are adult dogs.
