Oh I did have this problem until one stick to many cost me about $400.00 in a vet bill (she had a very upset tummy). We learned the "leave it" command very quickly.
Sophie Kate has one Pine Cone that she is allowed to have in her mouth while we walk - but no chewing. She parks in next to the garage and we grab it everytime we walk. For some reason she likes to have something in her mouth when we walk.
