Burned rubber urine smell My 9 month old male yorkie's urine smells like burned rubber. It is so strong, and he seems to be marking in the house (he is not neutered). He seems otherwise very healthy. We also have a 10 month old female yorkie who has not yet come into heat. I thought perhaps it was just a hormone odor from him not being neutered and in the house with a female (we thought we might breed them next year). He has also been a bit aggressive and barks, chases, and nips at kids who come into the house.
We are attempting to collect his urine today and take a sample to the vet, because this odor is horrific. As it drips a bit onto his fur as he pees, it ends up making him smell horrible too, requiring very frequent bathing, and now his marking is making my carpet smell. HELP! We'll take his urine to the vet today, (this has been going on for a couple of months at least). But has anyone experienced this odor, and what industrial strength enzymatic product is the best for getting out this widespread odor from our carpets? Thanks so much. |
