When I look at a puppy in a pet store, I can't get all the images of the breeder dogs and the horrible abuse done to them out of my mind. The sickening stories of the bad health, neglect and emotionally wrecked dogs breaks my heart.
What the pet stores do with the puppies that aren't selling well is them same as Kohl's does with blouses that aren't selling, lower the price until they get sold. They will go below cost. But they will also try to re-coop as much profit or cost as they can, first.
It is a catch-22.
