I think there are "lots of pets on it" simply because that brand (along with a couple of others) have been what is predominately on store shelves. People have a tendency to buy what is convenient, not necessarily what is best. You only have to look at the fast food industry to prove that fact.

what kind of quality of life does a 20 yr old yorkie have? not that i wouldnt want mind to live forever..but i think there is more then the specific brand of food that is extending their life..genetics, vet care, etc..
as i stated earlier my spitz was 18..so thats a long time as well

eukanuba is shelved only at pet stores along side 10-20 other brands..so there are lots of brands that are convenient when you are already at the pet store..some of those brands are also "better brands" that are mentioned here..
