Hi there! Thanks for posting this thread. My Farrah is 6 months old tomorrow and has the attention span of a rock!

Not too funny when trying to train her of ANYTHING!
But we just started obedience training last Saturday. One of the first things we "learned" was to heel. The dog is placed on your left. Your arms are down at your sides and the leash is short. (Excess in your right hand.) Keep the dog at your side as you walk. If the dog lags, short quick tug to the front to get her to catch up and the reverse to slow down. Obviously a harness is key to walking.
Heel and the "come" command have been easy. The down (without a treat) a bit frustrating. I told the instructor that she has ADHD...
