It certainly is. Warmth is the #1 priority for a newborn. Infact...always make sure the puppy is not chilled before feeding him. Feeding a chilled puppy will kill him. Also...make momma's area smaller so baby has no choice but to be close and warm. Keep the room where the momma and baby are housed warm and draft free.
