orinskye.........Yes you must call the 800 number on the papers you recieved, if there is no number there, you can go online to the avid site . You must call avid to activate your information . The vet just implants the chip. Call avid and tell them you need to give your info for that chip number . They put all info into avid data base . I found my dog after being stolen, he was missing 2 1/2 years . Just got him back from Florida in February. I live in New York. He was scanned by a vet , my avid number came up, avid gave them the info and she called me!!! Josieb |
