well...if my babies were to be lost (heaven forbid), I would rather that someone like you (momma) took them in while trying to find me and treated them nicely than take them somewhere that they might be injured or treated poorly. As mentioned, the important thing is that this baby was saved from almost certain death. Everything else is just small details.
