Definitely a leash. I don't live in the country but my backyard is nothing but woods with a whole lot of little creatures. Brandi will not venture any further a few steps from the patio. She does not like going out back so much so that I have started taking her out front for her last potty. The daytime she loves it but a night forget it.
It didn't use to bother her until she heard something one night (so did I) and ever since than she will not potty out back at night anymore. Because I am diligent particularly at night, I pay attention to her body language. If she is standing stiff to the point where she can't even relax enough to pee, it's in the house we go. Now I don't even chance it, I just let her pee out front where she is much more relaxed and able to pee. I gave up on ever having her go out back at night. |
