I have been shown how to do this procedure by my vet- it is a SURGICAL AMPUTATION! As with any surgical procedure there is some risk, however slight. Where I live it may soon be passed as law that my vet will not be able to perform tail docking, so she has shown my how to do both tail docking and dew claw removal. I can't believe that someone would try to teach it over the internet!!!!!
