I had the fright of my life last night.
Pepper was chewing on a piece of raw hide, the next minute he started coughing and I noticed he was making gagging movements. Luckily my boyfriend was there because I’m useless in a crisis
…… My boyfriend came running, picked Pepper up tried to open his mouth and get it out. He was just about to perform the Heimlich Maneuver when he gave a cough and it fell out his mouth. Thank goodness!!!
Luckily we had both read about how to perform CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver before we got him, thanks to Yorkie Talk!
I just hope everyone has read up and knows how to perform these very important procedures as it’s scary to see how quickly something like this can happen.
There are plenty of useful links on this site so please have a look up if you don’t already know. I just hope it never happens again!!
