Doesn't have to poop much, he's not that big, just regularly. If his tummy is hard and distended. He may have a bit of colic and/or gas. A couple of drops of Mylocon (baby drops), get it at the grocery store or pharmacy in the baby section.

Has the mother been inattentive since the beginning. There is another possiblity, although I pray that isn't the case. There may be a medical condition with this pup. Mom's instinctively know when something is wrong with a pup.
