It definately, definately brought tears to my eyes. I found it to be heartbreaking. But I'm not one to shun away from a book like that just because I actually feel it makes me more aware and, therefore, more apt to do something positive for animals that are abused.
I was watching an HBO documentary the other day and it showed an elephant being electrocuted by Edison. Now that was heartbreaking!! I had to turn my eyes away.
