As I had posted in my "poll", we had three yorkies that became violently ill, all in one evening, right after giving each of them a mini toohbrush Greenie. I don't believe it is a "blockage" issue, as one of our Yorkies was hospitalized and was checked for any blockages in his stomach, esophagus, and intestines. We believe it is the "chemical" makeup of these so-called treats that caused this type of reaction. This also has nothing to do with the size of the Greenie. One of our Yorkies had become sick with just the chip size, as well. Our breeder has also been having problems with any of her Yorkies that were given Greenies. I understand that it is imperative to watch your Yorkies indulge in any kind of treat, as we always do. Please be alerted to the fact that all three of our Yorkies (all different sizes) became sick virtually simultaneously; I just find it hard to believe that it had anything to do with their eating habits. |
