I got my belly button pierced when I was 14 (I'll be 22 in August) and havn't had any problems, ever!! I did have to take it out about a week after I got it and it closed up but I took a sewing needle and repierced it myself.
Honestly though it was probably the most painful piercing I've ever had
But it goes away in a day or so.. the pain
Now my tongue was difficult becuase it swelled up and I couldnt talk or eat
but no pain
