Yes it is normal. Yorkies have hair like humans..it doesn't shed and needs to be brushed. It is just like your hairbrush if you don't brush it on a daily basis..A lot of yorkies hate having their hair brushed so make sure the brush is not to rough on their skin, take your time and have little treats ready.
