I am so glad you're getting a 2nd opinion - what a great Mama you are! I too am very surprised that your vet isn't taking this more seriously, that's very odd. I hope you get more answers and guidance with this other vet.

Another thing I'll throw out there is to put him on a temporary (like 2wks or so) hypoallergenic diet - like fish, potatoes, greens - to rest his system. Of course, it's really more important at this point to find out if something is medically wrong - especially since this *just* happened suddenly, in the last 3 weeks. But just keep the diet thing in mind for down the road, if needed.
