I used clippers, but I quit doing the legs altogether. The hair is pretty long on them, but I do clip the hair between the pads of her feet and over the top of her feet to make them look neat. She has gotten much better about letting me groom her, including grinding her nails.
I'm pretty sure Liz is from a puppymill. Her body is a little long, I think, and that ,the ears and my grooming, make people ask if she's a yorkie. The person the woman I got Liz from was selling all kinds of little dogs, maltese, yorkies, schnauzers, westies, poodles and mixes of all the above. Liz's breeder is in IL and the seller is in GA. I don't think there is a single champion on her pedigree.
