I have to laugh because I couldn't remember or tell from pictures how Yorkie legs were usually groomed, so I shaved Lizzie's legs. I knew after I groomed her she didn't look exactly right, but I thought it was because her hair wasn't long enough yet. And her legs did look like stick legs.
I really love Liz's hair, but the beard, I can't get use to and have always shaved. I've kind of been giving her bangs, but am trying to grow out her topnot. Thing is, everytime I've tried to put a bow in her hair, I am all thumbs.
BTW, you know your Yorkie isn't groomed in a traditional cut when people ask if your dog is a Yorkie. I tell people yes, but the new "Kristan" cut just makes her look different. Oh, her ears are folded over too.
I did take her to a groomer one time, the first time I had her groomed after getting her when she was nine months. The groomer told me she was really bad, and I haven't trusted her with anyone since.
