This happened to Shayna in her first heat. She changed, picked up some odd habits, licking, tired, squishy etc. Then she began lactating at 3 months. I took her to the vet, just to be sure because I know a male never got to her, but as I suspected, it was a false pregnancy. But when I asked what I should do with the milk, he told me to milk her, to prevent infection, which I did several times a day for a week and then it was over. So now I just have to watch for a false pregnancy after her heats. However this time I know she's pregnant, it was planned. |
