If you up his liver amount, does it cause looser stools? I would try that and also make sure you are not feeding too much bone as some pups just can't tolerate as much as others. Not to be graphic but when he does go poop what is it like? If there is a lot of white and it's really crumbly I would definately think it's too much bone. I'd also be interested to see if it improves with a little added liver. Please be very careful with this as I had a friend who lost a puppy recently because of a similar problem. She wound up with mega colon. Not to scare you but this can become very serious.
