Thanks for sharing! I worked in Watts a few years ago and I know this is how it's rep got started. They did a whole lesson on that and I worked with Kinder and 3rd graders. The kids all understood too! I think it's amazing how much we've moved forward, yet how much things stay the same. You would think us humans would grow in leaps in bounds since we have footage and history at our fingertips to help stop us from making the same mistakes over and over. Especially when anger or stupidity is the driving force.
