a neighbor was attacked by thieves right outside the hallway that leads to my apt. Shoot, I didn't know this happened until diner tonight! Makes me think back to the riots 18 years ago. If you aren't familiar with this insanity, here is a quick glimpse at what was going on when I was 6.

Just to give you and idea of how scary this was, this clip was filmed on the corner of Vermont and Leeward Ave. If you google map 1298 Leeward Ave Los Angeles, you'll see just how close my home was to this.
I don't expect anyone to comment, or to really read it. I'm just putting it out there as a way of venting. It makes me mad/sad/disgusted to look back and see how my LA got its bad rep.
