How old is he? I am assuming still a pup, and in that case they do go thru growth spurts. Puppies are so active, they usually burn it off and balance out to whatever the weight should be. It is also possible for them to shoot up in appetite and weight over certain months, then plateau out during others.
I personally don't believe in restricting food for puppies, and I always free feed so they don't have to chomp it all down at once, and they can nibble through out the day. It works for me, but if you have one who eats every single bite, then probably not the best for you. |
