There is a yorkie standard that defines the proper size as not to exceed 7 pounds. However, the standard is put in place for those exhibiting/breeding yorkies to keep as their goal.

How big or how small a yorkie gets when they achieve adulthood is based on many factors. The lines they are from/genetics, etc. Your young man may stop growing now, or he can have another growth spurt. But, he isn't going to be a little guy that's for sure. Just make sure the weight he's carrying isn't based on fat and it's solid. I do love those larger yorkies, they are much more durable than the smaller ones.
