I'm sorry you are going through so much now; I know you have been going through a lot with Chipper, and felt like you had no other choice but to temporary rescue this dog. We have lots of experienced people here in rescue, and I hope they can give you some tips on where to start. My guess is the dog needs spaying and teeth done before placement, and it would be great if that could be done all at once. I agree with you about not wanting to change the diet, but a gradual change could be done after a week at you home. If she's not experiencing any diarrhea, you can do ¼ new food and ¾ old food, and up it a little each day, if there is no diarrhea. Please post a picture of this little girl, I think someone will fall in love with her eyes, she may not be a beauty on the outside, but we have people here who can see the inside. |
