I'm the lucky one....I first saw him at the county shelter, instantly wanted him and was told there were three holds on him so I didnt see any point to add another.
I stopped in a few days later and he was still there, ran to the cage front and really seemed to recognize me! When I checked status I learned he was sick but still had two holds so again I consoled myself with the fact that he was going home-just not with me!
A few days later I stopped to look at another dog and the shelter worker asked if I was there to see Finn and I said, "No I'm looking at another dog since he is sure to be adopted soon even though he is still here". She next tells me all the holds have fallen through and he is available AND is half price!
No doubt how that worked.....higher powered...
Finn is such a happy guy! I'm the lucky one here!
