No one here is blind to the fact that this is a very difficult situation for her and I believe that she has everyone's sympathy for that. But the bottom line is, the dog needs help and rather than choosing to surrender the dog so she can get the help she needs, she has elected to allow her to continue suffering so that she can keep her. No amount of foot stomping and lecturing is going to change that. And there is NO justification for it. Again, if the well being of this dog is not what you see as the most important issue, then you are on the wrong forum.
What's the outcome, you ask? Yet another diversion from the real issue--the health of a dog--for the sake of lecturing people on how to be nice.
No one is saying the dog is not the first priority!! She is!!!! Everyone 100% agrees with that! But you are forgetting the fact that to get to the dog you have to go through the lady first! No one is justifying what she has or has not done to contribute to the pain and suffering of this dog either! What good does it do to beat her over the head with past mistakes except to get her to run to someone or somewhere else which means this dog stays in pain longer! All I'm trying to say is can we figure out a way to rescue the dog without making the person in charge of the dog take off? Beat away once you have the dog in a solution that lessens her pain! If the dog is the priority that would seem incredibly obvious. The focus needs to be doing whatever is necessary and practical to get this dog help. And since the human is in charge and the rescuers need to go through her it would make sense to at least try and be civil while someone tries to obtain this suffering baby! That is the real issue. The name calling and "tough love" is a diversion from what the priority should be and a whole lot of shoulda, woulda, couldas don't help this baby in this
emergency situation. A doctor who works in an ER doesn't stand there and lecture a patient who is bleeding to death because he drove drunk. He deals with the acute injury and has that conversation once he saves his life! I'm sick over this situation and didn't sleep for worry over whether or not this baby is still suffering. I just want someone to get to her as soon as possible and save her life. If this post makes me an evil dog hater I don't know what language you speak because at the moment thid baby is all I can think about!
