If I were to chose again I would look at North Carolina, around the Ashville area -its so beautiful. Also the beaches in North Carolina are amazing. Add South Carolina to that list also.
Georgia is nice but honestly it gets so hot here in the summer, it took me a couple of years to adapt to the heat also. |

I love North Carolina, especially the Chapel Hill area. I got to spend a lot of time there when my son was attending UNC and fell in love! You have 4 evenly divided seasons, water...beaches near-by, intelligent people, low crime rate, and just an overall awesome city. There are so many people there from everywhere, although ATL is also like that.
(I am a true Yankee, and love cold weather.)
