Hi there!
I recently found out about a furbaby that has been informally rescued from an abusive home. By "informally", i mean that the people who rescued her are not with a rescue organization. They don't have the formal rescue training and just did this out of the kindness of their hearts (not that formal rescuers don't have kind hearts, you know what I mean

).
Anyway, they have had the baby for less than 2 months and think she is about 18 - 24 months old. She has not yet been to a vet (but I do not know why). They are not sure whether she is spayed either. She weighs about 2 lbs. She's tiny, but was skin and bones when they first got her. She takes her time trusting people and avoids feet.
So, it sounds like she may be a good fit for me in terms of her personality, etc. and I just want to find out what would be the best way for me to go about this? I plan to meet her tomorrow and then she is supposed to go to the vet next week. Should the person who rescued her take her to the vet or should I? What's the normal or best way to go about this?
As always, any help would be appreciated.
