I am so, so sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine the pain of losing someone to that...something so preventable. Your entire family and all of his loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers.
This hits home...I just got my license and all of my friends are or have gotten their's within a couple months of me. I'm psychotic about driving safety (I'm really active in my school's SADD program, it kind of comes with the territory), and the stupid things I see my friends doing behind the wheel just scare me to death. I'm honestly dreading the day I find out that something has happened. With the way some of them act in a car, it's really only a matter of time.
Driving is one of the scariest things in the world and people (whether they've been driving for 30 minutes or 30 years) sometimes forget that, and unfortunately it comes with tragic consequences.
My heart truly goes out to anyone who has been touched by this kind of tragedy...
