Ok! She's not delivering prematurely. She's delivering them on the first day of her last breeding....we're ok there.
Did you inform the vet of the the discharge prior to delivery of the first pup. If there is an infection, there is a possibility the pups may have an infection too.
Now, to make you feel a bit better about the pup that didn't make it. Think of if this way, if the pup had lived, he may have had something seriously wrong with it. Remember, there is reason for everything, so hang in there.
